Southern Oregon Carriage Club

MISSION STATEMENT

The purpose of the SOCC is to give carriage enthusiasts a chance to meet others in the driving community, and to provide a forum for sharing information on driving. The goal of the club is to emphasize driving safety and the promotion of pleasure driving. No experience is needed, nor is ownership of equine, carriage or harness required for membership. We welcome all carriage enthusiasts, types of driving, styles of vehicles and harness. Safety considerations require that turnouts entered in club-sponsored events have vehicles and harness in good repair, driving equines that are calm and responsive and drivers who are competent. Stallions are not permitted.

BREAKING NEWS: The SOCC is in the process of merging with the Horse and Carriage Society (HACS) with the new organization to be called the Southern Oregon Horse and Carriage Club. Once the merger is finalized, a new website will be designed and both organizations' websites will provide links to it. Serving horse and carriage enthusiasts from both southern Oregon and northern California, the new club plans to be even more exciting! The proposed bylaws are here for review.
